BlackRidge Systems LLC, trading as BlackRidge Institute, collects a small amount of information from this website. This notice explains what is collected, why, how long it is kept, and how to have it removed.
Only what you give us. If you complete a form we receive your name, work email, organization, the transition you selected, and anything you write in the message field. If you subscribe we receive your email address alone.
If you reserve a seat we also receive the session you chose, the number of seats, and how your organization intends to pay. If you pay by card or bank transfer, payment is handled by our payment processor, Stripe. Your card or bank details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by BlackRidge; we receive only confirmation of the payment, the amount, and the name and email on it.
We do not ask for, and have no use for, government identifiers or health information. Do not send them.
Every participant in a BlackRidge session takes the Leadership Readiness Diagnostic. Your responses and your individual report are yours. We do not share them with your employer or with whoever paid for your seat, and no one in the session sees them. You may choose to share your own report or development plan with anyone you like.
After a session, the sponsoring organization receives a written summary of what the session covered, what participants worked on, and the 90-day follow-through that helps the learning hold at work. It contains no individual diagnostic scores or results.
To reply to your inquiry, and where you have asked for it, to send research as it publishes. Nothing else.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not add form submissions to a mailing list unless you check the subscribe box.
Only the service providers listed under Processors we rely on, each acting on our instructions and bound to use the information only to deliver that service.
Inquiry correspondence is retained while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards. Subscription details are kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do from any email we send.
You may ask what we hold, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to admin@blackridgeinstitute.com and we will act within one month.
California residents. The California Consumer Privacy Act gives you rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. BlackRidge does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. Exercising these rights will never result in different treatment.
If you are outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States, which may have different data protection rules than your own country.
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are, and what device and browser they use. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this. We use the reports to improve the site, not to identify individuals, and we do not use advertising cookies.
You can stop Google Analytics from collecting your visits by blocking cookies in your browser or by installing Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site works the same either way.
This site is intended for professional audiences and is not directed at anyone under 16.
Our host records standard server logs. IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of request, which are used to keep the site running and secure, and are not used to build a profile of you.
Information is held on reputable hosted services under access control, transmitted over encrypted connections, and seen only by people at BlackRidge who need it to reply to you. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your information we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
We use a small number of service providers acting on our instructions: Netlify, which hosts this site and receives form submissions; Google Workspace, for email; Stripe, which processes payments; and Google Analytics, for site usage reports. They may process your information only to deliver that service.
To exercise a right to know, delete, correct, or opt out, email admin@blackridgeinstitute.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line and tell us which right you are exercising. We will verify the request by replying to the email address on file, respond within 45 days, and may extend once by a further 45 days if we tell you why. An authorized agent may act for you with written permission.
We do not track visitors across other websites. This site does not currently change its behavior in response to a browser’s Do Not Track signal; to stop analytics collection, use the opt-out described under Cookies and analytics.
Where we link to SSRN, to Stripe’s payment pages, or elsewhere, those sites have their own privacy practices. This notice covers only this site.
Tell us first, most concerns are quickest to resolve directly. If you remain dissatisfied, California residents may contact the California Privacy Protection Agency or the Office of the Attorney General.
If this notice changes materially we will say so here and update the date below. Material changes will not be applied retroactively to information already collected.
